Checkout runs the standard secure card methods through the site’s encrypted payment flow, on orders that clear the $120 minimum, with the $25 flat shipping under $500 and free shipping over $500 applied to the order total before payment is taken. What the payment step is (and is not)
The payment step completes the order; it does not complete the eligibility checks, and it is worth stating the order of operations plainly, because the sequence is the design. The checks that come before payment: the 21+ verification at checkout (gate one of the two-gate standard — the age verification post), and the restricted-state check on the shipping address (the current list in the state map, enforced in the shipping policy). An order that does not clear those checks does not reach the payment step at all — a restricted-state address is declined at checkout, which is the policy working rather than a payment failure. After payment, the order record is the buyer’s documentation: the pack, the batch number, the tracking — the batch verification habit starts with that record, and the refund policy is the standing document for any question that follows the payment.
