The math that matters: cost per 100mg
The sticker comparison (29.99 vs 44.99) is the wrong comparison, because the units deliver different milligram amounts. Normalize to 100mg — the amount a regular user actually tracks — and the lines line up differently:
- Black Edition at single-pack price: $29.99 per 50mg = $59.98 per 100mg.
- Black Edition at 3+ price: $24.99 per 50mg = $49.98 per 100mg.
- Platinum at single-pack price: $44.99 per 100mg = $44.99 per 100mg.
- Platinum at 3+ price: $34.99 per 100mg = $34.99 per 100mg.
Two honest reads from this table. First: the 50mg line is a step size product, and its per-100mg number says what that precision costs — a smaller, gentler unit, the first-time and step-down format the strength guide explains. Second: for a regular user on a 100mg pattern, the Platinum line at multi-pack pricing is the strong per-mg number, and that is the arithmetic behind the bulk buying math. A vendor’s 50mg and 100mg lines should be judged the same way — per verified 100mg, at the price tier you will actually order.
How the shipping structure changes the real number
Three rules shape the total, and they matter more than the sticker gap on small orders:
- Minimum order: $120. A single pack of either line does not clear the minimum on its own — a Black Edition order starts at five packs ($149.95), and a Platinum order at three packs ($134.97). The minimum is the category’standard for a 21+ shipped product, and it is what keeps the unit economics honest.
- Flat $25 shipping under $500. Add $25 to any order in the $120–$499.99 band. At a three-pack Platinum order ($134.97 + $25 = $159.97), shipping is about 16% of the order — the reason single-order buyers should look at the next tier up.
- Free shipping over $500. Cross the line and the $25 disappears. A four-pack Platinum order at the 3+ tier ($139.96) does not clear it, but a combination order or a six-pack Platinum order ($209.94 + tier pricing) builds toward it — and the per-100mg number improves at every step because the pack tier and the shipping line both work in your favor. The vendor comparison version of the math
Run the same three steps on any vendor’s listing:
- Find the milligram claim. Is the printed number the amount of 7-hydroxymitragynine per unit, or a blend amount? A blend-based label makes the per-100mg number uncomputable — and that is the flag. The what is 7-OH post covers the labeling basics.

What the price should NOT be telling you
